Toshikazu Isomura, Japan’s Consul General, has called for making further strengthening of bilateral trade relations between Japan and Pakistan, said that the both countries’ traders should interact with each other and find new ways of trade instead of traditional sectors. so as to promote bilateral trade between Japan and Pakistan. while addressing a meeting at Pakistan Chemicals and Dyes Merchants Association (PCDMA), he assured PCDMA members of the issuance of visas on a priority basis, adding that commercial importers will also be considered for multiple visa, but cannot be given assurance.
Japanese envoy said that there are 5,000 Japanese companies operating in Thailand and 20,000 Japanese companies in China. In contrast, only 85 companies are working in Pakistan which needs to be increased by attractive policies.
He also emphasized the need for business-to-business meetings, exchanging trade delegations between Japan and Pakistan.
Mr. Amin, Chairman PCDMA and former director Karachi Stock Exchange welcomed the Japanese Consul General, said that in the past, imports of chemicals and dyes from Japan were higher for Pakistan, which is now being restricted, so needs to be reviewed
“Japan imports $ 25 billion worth of textile products from all over the world, so Japan should import textile products from Pakistan.
