Prime Minister Imran Khan will be leaving for China on Thursday (today) on an official visit.
According to the visit schedule, the prime minister will be given a guard of honour at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on November 2, while he will also meet President Xi Jinping the same evening. A one-on-one meeting between the two leaders will be followed by the delegation-level talks. The prime minister is also scheduled to meet a Chinese business delegation the same evening.
On November 3, the prime minister will attend the foundation laying ceremony of a monument being constructed in the honour of great heroes of China at the Tiananmen Square. Later, he will visit the Great Hall of the People for a meeting with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang. The meeting will be followed by a lunch hosted by the Chinese premier in the honour of Prime Minister Imran Khan and his delegation. The prime minister will also deliver his reception speech on the occasion. In the evening, the prime minister will interact with top leaders from the Chinese corporate sector.
On November 4, Prime Minister Imran Khan will visit a public school in Beijing and also deliver a speech there. In the afternoon, he will leave for Shanghai.
On November 5, the prime minister will attend the opening ceremony of Shanghai Import Expo 2018 and will also deliver a keynote address. On the sidelines of the ceremony, he will meet heads of Chinese companies. He is also scheduled to meet Vietnamese prime minister on the occasion. In the afternoon, he will address the Pakistan Business Council. In the evening, the prime minister will fly back to Pakistan.
